Foreword for PRT III Conference, By Dennis A. Gary

I met Dennis Gary on a bus at Disney World in Orlando in 2005. I am not sure if it was fated or merely a sign that I need to randomly meet and learn the story of every single attendee at the ASCE APM conferences. In any event, he drew my attention to his role in editing the proceedings from PRTⁱ III and, in particular, in writing the Foreword for those proceedings. It was meant to be his personal statement on the subject.

There are two files here with minor differences between them. One is the version that Dennis Gary re-edited in 2005 when I sought his permission to make this document once again available.

Dennis is now (once again?) an ATRA member. He now works at AECOM with a very flashy (literally "Flash"y) web site at http://www.aecom.com/.
